LBD from Topshop!

So, for my 18th birthday party i went dress shopping to Bluewater and came home with this beauts little black dress.
I thought id share my opinions on it with the rest of the blogging world, and my textiles class.

First of all, it feels luxuriously heavy, and expensive, and for £55 pounds, i feel this was worth the money!
The dress has a 1920s inspired look about it with delicate hanging beads on the top of the dress and sleeves.
The rest of the flows to just the right length above the knee.

Here is the dress on the Topshop website:

First page completed!

Im a bit behind compared to the rest of the class. But despite this, i am soldering on, and trying my best to get work done among my other A-levels.
In a result of this, i decided to help motivate me, i will design and mount a page.
Here it is!

Loves and Hates...

 Matthew Williamson
Love almost his whole S/S13 collection. They all have elements of the design which are light or floral. I like the colour choice for the trousers as they are bold but feminine.

Rag and Bone - Love this collection, although it is very plain looking the way they have mixed up the textures is great! Knit is very popular especially as we are experiencing winter gales and hairs worst enemy..... rain.

 NOT loving

Tata-Naka

I dont particulaly like the style. The colours that the designer has put together would not be my first choice, but the turquoise however i do like. Out of all the designs, if i HAD to chose one, it would be the first one as it does look sophisticated and uniformed.

Nicole's loving...

Im researching designers for my A2 textiles outerwear project and i have came across a few designers that float my boat! Their creations are, in my eyes, beauts.

Fence jumping start to the year!..... (FIRST POST!)

My first blog post! So, today i had my first textiles lesson of the academic year. I came into school just a second over 8.30am (I was NOT late!) and I was greeted by my class asking me how i got to school, and my reply was 'no, i did not jump any fences today! I do have a reputation of jumping fences on my way to school (Long story), hence why my classmates gave me the nickname 'Fence Jumper'. So anyway, back to the important stuff! I wanted my first post of my new fashion blog to be my reflexion of what i do and dont like of the A/W12 London Fashion Week. So, here it is...! Except for the models looking a bit creepy and plastic looking, i am actually loving the tweed! I think it looks a bit old fashioned, and grandpa - ish, which strangely enough.... i LOVE! The other look featured in the pictures i also love. I like the use of different textured fabrics and the style is very unique to me. These creations were designed by Antoni & Alison and can be viewed at:
